Proud Paws Puppy Food is formulated to meet the specific needs of puppies during their first year. At three to four weeks of age, puppies begin nibbling on solid food. To encourage consumption, it is recommended that Proud Paws Puppy Food be first offered moist. Moisten the food with either milk or water in a proportion of five parts food to one part liquid. Offer as much moist food as the puppy will consume in 15 minutes. Gradually reduce the proportion of water to feed until your puppy is accustomed to eating the food dry.

*Amounts are based on standard 8-ounce dry measuring cup, containing approximately 3.5 oz. of dry dog food..

The amount to feed your pet will vary depending on breed, size, activity level, life stage, and environment.  Weigh your pet to determine actual weight.  The manufacturer recommends the daily amount of food be divided between two or more meals offered at similar times each day.  Always provide your pets with plenty of clean, fresh water.  Keep all food and water bowls clean.  If switching from another diet to Proud Paws, gradually make the transition over a period of one week.
