Farmers Cooperative named 2007 Frederick County Agri-Business of the Year

During “Ag Week at the Mall”, two prestigious awards were given Saturday evening at the Fredericktowne Mall. Farmers Cooperative Association, Inc., of 820 E. South Street, Frederick, was named Frederick County Agri-Business of the Year. Accepting the award on behalf of Farmers Cooperative was Chester Martin, General Manager.  Farmers Cooperative strives to stay on the cutting edge of feed technology while keeping its old-fashioned, personalized service.

Frederick County Agriculture Advocate of the Year is Joe Free.  Mr. Free is very involved with The Great Frederick Fair, several local clubs/organizations and attends many ag-related events.  Joe is also a director of Farmers Cooperative Association, Inc. 

Colby Ferguson with the Frederick County Office of Economic Development presented the awards.
